Securing a position with the Ministry of Health (MOH) in Kuwait is a significant achievement, and the journey doesn’t end after the interview and written exam. Once you pass these stages, you’ll move on to a series of procedures, including document verification and medical examinations. This blog will guide you through the post-interview process in detail, ensuring you are well-prepared for each step.
Document Verification with MOFA
Once you receive the results of your interview and written exam, the next step is to verify your original documents. This includes attestation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) for certain certificates. While we will discuss this process in a future post, it is crucial to ensure all your documents are ready and in order.
The Medical Examination Process
Preparing for the Medical Exam
When you are called for the medical examination, you must go to the medical department located on the first floor of the MOH office. Here is what you need to bring:
- Two passport-sized photos
- A copy of your passport
- A copy of your Civil ID
Steps at the MOH Office
- Medical Form: You will be given a medical form where you must write your date of birth.
- Camp Office Visit: On the same campus, to the left of the MOH office, there is a camp office. Here, you will:
- Receive a barcode on your medical form.
- Get your photo on the form stamped.
Once these steps are completed, you are ready to proceed to the General Medical Council (GMC).
General Medical Council (GMC) Procedures
- Token for Medical Test Approval: Since you are in the MOH recruitment process, you can directly approach the counter for a token to get approval for the medical test.
- For Females: Proceed to rooms 6 and 7.
- For Males: Proceed to room 22.
- Doctor’s Approval: A doctor will review your medical test request, stamp it, and sign it. This approval is necessary to move forward.
Testing Center: Port and Border
The medical test center for MOH staff is the Port and Border Health Division. You need to make an appointment on the “Shahel” app for your medical test. However, you can also visit after 1:30 PM without an appointment as MOH has arranged for recruitment medicals to be done in the afternoon session without prior appointments.
- Appointment Verification: Show your appointment to the token provider.
- MOH Counter: At the MOH counter, provide your original passport for verification of previous medicals.
Medical Tests
- Lab Tests: Your first stop will be the lab for various tests.
- Chest X-ray: After lab tests, proceed to get a chest X-ray.
- Doctor Visit: Once both tests are done, visit the doctor in room 44 to receive your chest fitness certificate.
- Stool And Urine Tests must be done in clinics.
- Must do vaccination for Hepatitis-B ( The form can be collected from GMC).
Final Steps
After completing these steps, you will wait for a text or call from MOH HR for a final doctor visit after blood test results. It’s important to note that female candidates must complete a urine test at a clinic or hospital on their own before their next visit to the GMC.
Note: This is not an official MOH website, and the process may change from time to time.
