Job Description:

PT Clinical Instructor, Nurse Education Program, Medical Surgical Nursing

Campus Location: Clinical agency

Work Schedule: Wednesdays and Thursdays 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm or 7:00 am – 3:00 pm

Non-benefited, MCCC position

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Prepare clinical assignments prior to clinical learning experience
  2. Instruct and Supervise nursing students in the clinical setting
  3. Instruct and Supervise nursing students with virtual clinical simulation to support the achievement of student learner outcomes when clinical agency is unavailable
  4. Evaluate student learning assignments and provide constructive feedback
  5. Complete formative and summative student evaluations
  6. Communicate with Course Team Leader on a weekly basis regarding student issues
  7. Perform other duties associated with the position.


Requirements:

  • MA Registered nurse license in good standing.
  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited institution of higher learning is required; an earned Master’s degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • Possesses a minimum of two (2) years full-time experience in nursing, or its equivalent, within the last five (5) years
  • Evidence of competence in clinical area of Medical Surgical Nursing
  • BLS Health Provider Level certification from AHA required.
  • Previous clinical teaching experience is preferred
  • Successful experience interacting with culturally diverse populations
  • Experience with the use of patient simulation and technology preferred
  • Candidates must clear a CORI/SORI and/or a National background check as a condition of employment
  • Candidate must clear a 10 panel urine drug screen per clinical placement policy as a condition of employment.

Additional Information:

SALARY: $70 per hour BSN, $78 per hour MSN or higher degree, non-benefited position, MCCC position

STARTING DATE: ASAP
