Job Summary

Supports all office functions of the Nursing Department including telephone coverage, clerical and word processing functions and file maintenance. Greets and assists visitors including students and staff. Answers phone and email inquiries regarding program information and advisor availability. Maintains confidential records, assists faculty and administrative staff as necessary. Regularly communicates with department Chairperson and with clinical affiliates as necessary for completion of clearance paperwork.

Qualifications – Education

High School Graduate

Qualifications – Experience

1-2 yrs experience in clerical/administrative field required. Additional education may be substituted for experience requirement.

Qualifications – Skills

Typing 55 WPM.
Knowledge of PC and Calculator.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Word and Excel).

Good phone skills and manners.

Customer service skills.

Attention to detail.

Self-directed.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Sensitivity in handling confidential information.

Work Hours

Work Hours Required:
8:30 am – 4:00 pm Monday through Friday
11:00 am – 6:30 pm one day per week (Monday or Thursday)
