This position may involve teaching in either an on-campus classroom, lab environment or simulation environment on
the ECC main campus. Hours may vary based on program need.

Job Summary:

Nursing lab
instructor provide instruction aligned with the college’s strategic goals and evaluate students’ progress to facilitate achievement of their
educational goals.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

A master’s degree or higher in
nursing.
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois.
A minimum of two years of current experience in clinical
nursing practice.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Skills lab and/or simulation
experience
Broad experience using various types of healthcare technology

Essential
Duties:

1. Assist students to achieve proficiency in performance of nursing skills through teaching, demonstration,
and evaluation.
2. Evaluate student’s performance of nursing skills through on-campus validations.
3. Facilitate simulations across
the nursing curriculum.
4. Evaluate student progress:
a. Keep accurate record of student performance
b. Provide students with
timely feedback
5. Provide student assistance as needed

Heavy (up to 100 lbs
occasionally or 50 lbs frequently or 25 lbs constantly)
