James Madison University (JMU) School of Nursing invites applications for this 10-month full-time appointment that will begin on August 25, 2024. The School of Nursing (SON), offers CCNE accredited Baccalaureate, Master’s, and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs. Teaching responsibilities will focus on BSN undergraduate program needs.
This position is a Renewable Term Contract (RTA). Successful applicants will be assigned the rank of instructor or assistant professor based upon their qualifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities for the position include teaching, scholarship and professional, community, and/or university service. This position requires in person teaching in the classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings and other teaching duties in the BSN program related to women’s health, with opportunities to teach core competencies for nursing education is anticipated.
Qualifications for this position include the following: Minimum of a graduate degree in Nursing, a Doctorate in nursing or related discipline is preferred. Recent experience in practice or teaching in women’s health nursing is required. Experience teaching in higher education is preferred. Additional professional or teaching experience related to the core competencies for nursing education is desired.
Other requirements include RN registration and the ability to obtain Virginia nursing licensure within six months of the start date.
