James Madison University (JMU) School of Nursing invites applications for a Tenure Track, 10-month full-time appointment at the rank of Associate Professor that will begin on August 25, 2024. The School of Nursing (SON) offers CCNE accredited Baccalaureate, Master’s, and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs. Teaching responsibilities will focus on graduate nursing program needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities for this position include teaching, scholarship and professional, community, and/or university service. This position requires in person and/or virtual teaching in the classroom, laboratory, and practicum settings. At the doctoral level, advising and development of student projects is expected. Teaching responsibilities will focus on graduate nursing program needs.
Qualifications:
Qualifications for this tenure-track position at the rank of Associate Professor include the following: A minimum of a graduate degree in Nursing and a Doctorate in nursing or related discipline is required. Three years of recent practice experience is preferred. Teaching experience at the doctoral level of nursing education is required, along with scholarship appropriate to Associate Professor rank.
Other requirements include RN registration and the ability to obtain Virginia nursing licensure within six months of the start date.
