Job Description Summary
Primary duties of full time
faculty include teaching courses in the approved discipline, providing instruction to facilitate student acquisition of the specific
learning outcomes identified for the assigned courses, as well as recruiting, advising, and mentoring students in and outside of the
classroom. The faculty member creates and maintains an effective learning environment in the modalities of the courses assigned, be they
face-to-face, hybrid, online, or within the context of dual credit instruction. Full time faculty members are also responsible for
participation in professional development activities, serving on college committees, developing and updating curriculum, textbook, equipment
selection and instructional materials. Faculty members are expected to maintain familiarity with and adhere to College policies and
procedures.
Qualifications
All faculty members must meet Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS)
academic, oral and written English proficiency requirements. All full time faculty members must demonstrate a willingness and abilities to
teach day, evening and/or weekend classes in face-to-face, hybrid, online, and dual credit environments.
Required
Education
All faculty members must possess minimum Southern Association of Colleges and Schools credential standards for
faculty teaching courses designed for workforce certificate or degree completion. These standards include an appropriate academic degree and
demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline.

At least 3 years of current work experience in nursing.

effective learning environment in the classroom and/or laboratory; ability to communicate effectively with students, college personnel and
administration, peers and public groups; ability to treat all persons with respect, dignity and justice, without discrimination based upon
age, sex, race, color, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation or gender identity;
ability to exercise the highest professional and ethical standards in the use of College time and resources; and, ability to observe the
stated policies and procedures of the College.
