Instructor or Assistant Professor of Nursing

The University of Jamestown Department of Nursing seeks to hire a nurse educator to serve as an Instructor or Assistant Professor of
Nursing. Course assignments vary according to departmental needs and applicant area of expertise. The position is a fulltime, 9-month
contract. Position will be open until filled.

Minimum requirements:

  • Earned master’s degree in
    nursing or current enrollment in a master’s degree program in nursing
  • Five years’ experience in nursing
  • Current unencumbered nursing license in the state of North Dakota, or the ability to obtain licensure.

Preferred
requirements:

  • Experience in mental health, medical surgical nursing, &/or maternal/child health.
  • Teaching
    experience at the college/university level
  • ACLS/PALS certification, or willingness to obtain certification

Responsibilities: Didactic teaching of on-campus undergraduate nursing courses, labs, as well as clinical
experiences in the community setting. In addition, faculty serve as student advisors and take part in departmental and campus wide
committees.
