LPG Cylinder Price 2023 : Modi government has reduced the price of LPG refill for the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana and general consumers. After the Central Government’s decision to increase the subsidy amount on LPG cylinders, the demand for LPG cylinders in the country has increased to a record level.
On August 29 of 2023, Modi cabinet decided to make LPG cylinder cheaper by Rs 200 for general and beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. As a result of this decision, the average number of LPG cylinders refilled daily in the month of September crossed 11 lakh. In October 2023, LPG was made cheaper by Rs 100 for the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
After this, after the increase in demand for LPG gas in October, 10.3 cylinders have been refilled daily and it is being said that the number of LPG cylinder refills may increase further.
Just before the assembly elections in five states, the Modi government at the Center has reduced the price of LPG cylinders. Beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana are getting LPG cylinders cheaper by Rs 500 i.e. Rs 600. Rest of the LPG customers will have to pay Rs 900 to get their LPG cylinder refilled, whereas earlier it was Rs 1100. Apart from the Central Government, many states have also reduced the price of LPG cylinders.
