Consultant Scope of Work:
TESU seeks a consultant to employ a process of collaboration,
participation, and engagement in providing knowledge and perspective to Thomas Edison State University about opportunities for academic
program expansion in the field of polysomnography. The consultant will provide an assessment of the current educational offerings. By
evaluating the existing polysomnography academic program designed to prepare practitioners and educational leaders, the consultant will
recommend the most strategic program revision and marketing for TESU’s expansion of its portfolio of academic programs in healthcare
to meet the needs of the workforce within the state and the region and to prepare individuals for professional advancement in the field. An
understanding of the local, regional, state, and national landscape is critical as the University prepares to leverage its strengths while
working to expand its academic portfolio. Additionally, the University seeks a professional who possesses knowledge of polysomnography
programs review and accreditation process. The consultant will:
-Work with TESU staff to identify the most strategic opportunities
for polysomnography program growth at both the graduate and undergraduate level to meet the needs of the workforce within the state and the
region and to prepare individuals for professional advancement in the field.
-Conduct an analysis of existing education programs in
the region, state, and nation, identifying areas of need and opportunity for TESU.
-In collaboration with TESU staff, scan the state
and national landscape and identify how TESU and its existing or polysomnography programs align to strengthen the current environment.
-Describe the resources including personnel, expertise, and data and reporting that would be required to move forward with
polysomnography programming.
-Identify possible synergies between TESU, county colleges, industries, and other educational
organizations.
-Identify any technological solutions or system requirements necessary to support the short- and long-term goals of
the initiative.
-Identify potential alternative sources of revenue to support the polysomnography program development and expansion
in the field of education.
-Submit a progress report at midpoint, and a final report at conclusion of the project, consolidating all
findings and recommendations.
Requirements:
Experience and demonstrated record of serving as an academic
consultant for higher education institutions in the field of polysomnography, experience conducting market analyses, familiarity with the NJ
Department of Education and accreditation standards. Demonstrated commitment to participating in an inclusive, equitable, and diverse campus
community.
