Under general supervision, prepares lesson plans and teaches classroom
instruction for credit courses in the School of Health and Professional Services. To meet the needs of our students, the instructor will be
required to teach courses during the day, evening, and weekend hours.

Instruction will include both lecture and laboratory activities
and may involve Internet courses. Must possess the ability to teach all phases of the Certified Nursing Assistant curriculum. The successful
candidate will report to the Dean of the School of Health, Education and Professional Services.

Minimum
Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED is required. The following current and valid credentials in good standing are
required and must be maintained during employment:

* Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse (licensed in Georgia)

*
Certified Train the Trainer (or must complete within 45 days of hire)

* American Heart CPR Instructor

All credentials must be
provided for copying before the time of interview.

The candidate must possess a comprehensive knowledge of the Certified Nurse’s
Assistant profession including the relationship to other professions in the medical field. Must demonstrate excellent written and oral
communications and people skills.

Three or more years, within the last five of full-time, in-field work experience as a LPN or RN.
Experience must include the competencies, skills and knowledge levels the faculty will be expected to teach.

MUST MEET THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associates degree or higher from a national or regionally accredited college or university.

The following current and valid
credentials in good standing are required and must be maintained during employment:

* Licensed Registered Nurse/Registered Nurse
(licensed in Georgia)

* Certified Train the Trainer

* American Heart CPR Instructor

All credentials must be provided
for copying at the time of interview.

The candidate must possess a comprehensive knowledge of the Certified Nurse’s Assistant
profession including the relationship to other professions in the medical field.

Five or more years, within the last seven of
full-time, in-field work experience as a RN. Experience must include the competencies, skills and knowledge levels the faculty will be
expected to teach.

Experience in teaching/advising/mentoring college-level students with broad, diverse backgrounds is desired.
Knowledge of Blackboard (Learning Management System) is desirable.

All credentials must be provided for copying at the time
of interview.

Payment for this position is lump sum and will be based upon education, experience and other
qualifications. Adjunct faculty members do not receive benefits and positions are temporary, scheduled based on class needs of the college.
Adjunct Faculty will generally sign assignment acknowledgements which cover a single term at a time, and employment is not guaranteed.
Georgia Defined Contributions and taxes will be deducted.

Minimum qualifications for this position will be determined by
the teaching discipline and compliance with appropriate accrediting bodies. Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate
accrediting bodies for the course assigned.
