Summary of Job Duties:
The
Clinical Instructor of Nursing is a faculty member responsible for developing and teaching didactic and clinical courses while contributing
to the teaching, scholarship, and service missions of the School of Nursing, College, and University.

The primary teaching
responsibility will be across the undergraduate distance education nursing programs, which includes coordination of didactic and clinical
courses. Faculty positions have expectations for advising students, performing professional/community service and outreach, and contributing
to ongoing program evaluation and improvement. The successful candidate will be expected to reside locally in Northwest Arkansas and
maintain a campus presence as required.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability
to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with
others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in nursing (MSN) must be
    conferred by the start of appointment from an accredited institution of higher education
  • Current unencumbered RN License in the
    State of Arkansas, or eligibility for licensure in Arkansas
  • Indicators of abilities to engage in effective
    teaching
  • Completed graduate level nurse educator courses
  • At least two years of professional nursing
    experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in nursing (e.g., PhD, DNP) or in a related field must be
    conferred from an accredited institution of higher educationby the start of appointment
  • At least two years of teaching experience in
    an online or traditional format
  • Knowledge of innovative teaching approaches and the use of technology in
    instruction
  • Experience with inter-professional collaborative education, scholarship, and/or practice
  • Demonstrated
    involvement in professional service
  • Defined area of scholarship
