The Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering is seeking to recruit an Associate Professor in Teaching and Curriculum Leadership to lead the development of our programmes and provide a best in class learning experience in developing and inspiring the next generation of engineers.

Currently ranked in the top 10 across all three university guides for Chemical and Environmental Engineering, we are collaborative and supportive, determined to meet the most demanding chemical and environmental engineering challenges that the planet faces. You will be joining a highly multidisciplinary environment where collaboration between Faculty staff, students and external stakeholders is key to the successful delivery of our curriculum and research impacts.

Central to your role will be developing your passion for world-class teaching and curriculum leadership in Chemical and Environmental Engineering to our students and engaging and supporting them using creative and innovative approaches. You will need to be able to deliver and supervise teaching and learning activities in a CEE laboratory environment.

You will have a passion for leading others in Chemical and Environmental Engineering Education and this role will also include executive coaching, senior mentoring and leadership training, as we want you to succeed and will provide all of the support needed to achieve your very best.

You will need to work proactively with colleagues, Directors of Education and Student Experience, and a wider educational team to design, develop and deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences and you will be a clear and confident communicator with the ability to engage and inspire students and colleagues across the Faculty.

You will be educated to degree level in a chemical or environmental engineering or a closely related discipline such that you are comfortable contributing broadly across our programmes and have the ability to provide engineering context to your teaching.

Your vision and focus will support our goals in making the University of Nottingham where Chemical and Environmental Engineering changes the world.

Within our diverse department we look for colleagues who hold to University of Nottingham values of inclusivity, ambition, openness, fairness and respect: you will put the development of a positive research and teaching culture at the heart of everything you do.
