Assiniboine Community College strives to create exceptional learning experiences for our students while strengthening Manitoba through
applied education and research. The School of Nursing is looking for an Academic Chair, Contract Training, to lead our Practical Nursing
contracts with our Indigenous partners and First Nation communities in Manitoba.

The Chair, Practical Nursing, Contract Training,
Winnipeg, is a key leadership position within the School of Nursing. This position provides an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful
contribution to the ever-demanding field of nursing and to Assiniboine’s commitment to the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action.
Practical Nursing programs may be offered in First Nation communities throughout the province of Manitoba or in other centre’s with
Indigenous partners. The Chair will ensure Assiniboine is providing an integrated learning experience that is valued by Indigenous students,
enhancing their success and preparing them for their future.

As the Chair, Practical Nursing, Contract Training, Winnipeg, you will
have an appropriate nursing credential, relevant degree (Masters preferred), be registered and be in good standing with CRNM, CLPNM, or
CPNM. You will have experience leading a team in a comparable post-secondary environment or industry. You will have a solid understanding of
the CLPNM and the role of the LPN in healthcare, program and curriculum development, Indigenization and decolonization of curriculum,
classroom instruction, assessment and evaluation, student advising, and group facilitation. You will have leadership experience in
developing faculty and students, along with experience preparing, monitoring, and managing budgets. You will also have relevant experience
working with First Nation communities and Indigenous people in program delivery.

This position
will entail regular travel to the program sites
. Priority will be awarded to qualified Indigenous candidates.

Being able to deliver results by having:

    • Bachelor’s Degree
      or equivalent work experience.
    • PMP certification preferred.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in project management techniques and
      methodologies.
    • Demonstrated ability to learn new software products.
    • Knowledge of software products such as MS Project and
      MS Office.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong proposal and report writing skills.
    • Strong
      community connections, ability to foster new relationships.
    • Minimum of 5 years project management experience required.
    • Extensive experience with administrative systems and processes required.
    • · Minimum of 2 years functional management
      experience in an equivalent industry environment.
